Tricia on the podium at the Victoria Commonwealth Games (1994) with her Bronze medal in the Women's Individual.  She also won Silver in the Pairs with Shirley McIntosh there.

She currently holds the Scottish Senior Women's 10m air rifle final record score of 102.9,shot at the SSRA Grand Prix at Glenrothes in December 1998.  One for the young guns to shoot at!

She is Scotland's 5th most capped lady shooter, with two CG medals to her name, and her versatility has seen her in Scotland teams in all  three disciplines.

Tricia has also shot in the  GB Ladies' Randle team, and her other personal achievements include British Universities championships.

Tricia took up shooting as the 'physical activity' section of Duke of Edinburgh award age 17. "Because it didn't involve much physical activity!" Her local range was in a church hall, and she shot in a huge combat jacket, elbow pads, and 2 point sling. She got a rifle of her own for her 18th birthday - an old martini action, with folding sights; and the rest is history.

She was a member of the illustrious EU Alumni club in the '80s and '90s, and is now a consultant neurosurgeon working in Glasgow.  She lives in Dunbartonshire, confining her activities to club shooting with Callander RC and her other interests of climbing and running having got over her aversion to physical activity.

When asked about her first experience of shooting for Scotland she said "I was so nervous that I couldn't bring myself to move from the sighter onto the card - eventually Donald McIntosh (who was my wind coach) persuaded me to get going, but I had to rapid fire the last few shots to get finished in time!! I think Mac was more psychologically scarred by this than me!  He very wisely didn't allow me to see the stopwatch!"
